Wallace S. Fingerett, CFLS*
Wallace “Bill” Fingerett is a Certified Family Law Specialist* and Partner at FMBK with over 49 years of experience. He brings a deep understanding of both the financial and emotional complexities clients face during family law matters. From the first consultation, Bill works closely with clients to identify their goals and strategically addresses them throughout the legal process.
Bill has extensive experience handling custody cases—including move-away and Hague Convention matters—as well as litigating and resolving child and spousal support, asset valuation and division, and business, real estate, investment, and retirement account issues. He also represents clients in civil palimony suits, same-sex relationships, families with special needs, and pre- and post-marital agreement disputes.
While committed to reaching resolution through mediation or settlement, Bill’s focus on early trial preparation and decades of litigation experience make him a formidable advocate when settlement is not possible.
In addition to his work at FMBK, Bill is a dedicated pro bono attorney, often appearing in immigration courts in Dilley, Texas to represent women and children seeking asylum. He also volunteers for organizations such as the Alliance for Children’s Rights and Immigrant Defenders, focusing on securing education, healthcare, and stable homes for underserved youth and political refugees.
