Carlen Don is an associate at FMBK whose practice focuses exclusively in family law; including child custody disputes, divorce and domestic violence restraining orders.
Prior to joining FMBK, Carlen worked for five years as a consultant with CGI, an international IT consulting firm, assisting state and local governments in building their technological infrastructure. Although she built a successful career, she decided to change professions and pursue her passion for law and helping children and families in their times of need.
Carlen received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. While at Loyola, Carlen gained extensive family law experience by externing for LA Superior Court family law Judge Bruce Iwasaki, volunteered for Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center and participated in Loyola’s Center for Conflict Resolution as a mediator. Carlen also spent a summer clerking for the Children’s Law Center gaining valuable exposure to the Los Angeles Dependency Court system.
Carlen received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Claremont McKenna College where she played for the college’s varsity softball and rugby teams.
In her free time, Carlen enjoys hiking in the surrounding mountains with her husband and her dog, Gary.
